Does this scam of yours actually work?
First of all, this is not a scam. A scam is defined as a fraudulent business scheme, or a swindle. I am very upfront about my motives. If you disagree with sending pennies, you go right ahead and hang on to them. Second, it does work, just look at the counter. It's not much right now, but its growing.

Why not go walk the streets or clean couches and find your own damn pennies?
I have already exhausted the couch resource. Besides, there aren't a million pennies in my couch.

What does 1 million pennies add up to be?
1 million pennies adds up to $10,000 or 3.2 tons. That's a lot of pennies.

Why don't you just say "SEND ME $10,000.00"?
Because there aren't an abundance of $10,000 coins lying around.

And when you get these pennies, what are they used for?
These pennies will not be used until the 1 million goal has been reached. At this point, I am going to try and rent an armored truck to take the pennies around town. I will, of course, have to pay with pennies. The goal is to spend all one million pennies in a single day, preferably on a single item without losing the value of $10k cash. Haven't you always wondered what would happen if you tried to spend one million pennies in one day? Well, I am going to show you!

Why are you doing this?
I am doing this because I want to see if it can be done. Sure, a few others have saved one million pennies, but they haven't used this method to achieve it nor have they spent the pennies like I plan. They have all cashed in the pennies for less than $10,000. If everyone in the world sends me a penny, it's miniscule for them, but profound for me. This is merely an experiment.

Doesn't Paypal charge you or me for sending a penny?
Paypal charges for payments sent through a credit card. If you send from your bank account or paypal balance, nobody gets charged and we are closer to the goal.

Do you realize that it cost 42 cents to send a letter? So to send you 5 pennies, it'll cost me 47 cents. If I send more, the postage will only go up.
You are absolutely correct. That is why this is your decision to send me pennies. Sure, it might cost you 42 cents to mail one to me, but that is not what this is about. I want to do something unique here. If you are looking for a bargain, Paypal it to me. If you have a problem with it, then just dont send them.

I would hope this is the case. But I am not in this for financial gain. Have you ever seen anyone do some creative things with a million pennies? I have big plans for showing you all how cool a million pennies can be.
